hey here's something (je cover)

Chestnut Juno (me) recorded its own rendition of I Recall the Telephone Booth. It believes these are the best lyrics Ronnie has written this entire decade (when taken as a whole, not counting individual lines) and wanted to pay tribute to them.

I downloaded it, now I have to listen to it. I'm lazy like that.

In fact I might have already downloaded it before when you mentioned it on TBS, but then I still haven't listened to any of those December songs that everyone posted. Yeah...

I figured after the rousing success of my last cover I'd go ahead and post another one. This one is on youtube.

I feel bad M. I've downloaded this cover three times, I think. Still haven't listened to it, so I'm going to right now!

Edit: wait, I did listen to at least part of it. I love that you used a telephone dial tone for the opening ditty. No pun intended, but listening to it again, I recall really, really liking this. From the downtempo pace to the vocals. Great jorb!

Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, is the "great jorb" thing a thing, and not a typo? I feel like I've seen you write it a couple times.

Oh, and it wasn't exactly supposed to be a telephone dial, but it was supposed to sound somewhat broken and mechanical, so that certainly works.

It might be a reference to the web flash cartoon homestarrunner.com, which was popular 6-7 years ago. One of the characters often speaks in a garbled voice.

I've actually never watched Homestar Runner stuff. I just saw it used and mimicked it.

What does Ronnie Martin think about this cover? Does he know about it?

What is this business?? Homestarrunner is better than ever, I shall have you know. They've really got this flash animation down pat. Anyway, this has nothing to do with JE, but whatever.

So, the Ask Ronnie board is locked. Uh oh.............
