Or, could it simply be that after creating approximately an album a year with nothing but analog synthesizers one might simply become burnt out? When put in perspective, it sounds a little like trying to clean a bathroom with a toothbrush. There are only so many darn sounds the thing can make.

You just watch, Ronnie will soon become the next king of pop! Favorites at Play was just a ploy to delve him into mainstream pop/rock music! Soon Ronnie Martin will be known the world over! Mwahahahaha!!!!

Or he could be on vacation.

I think when someone has attracted such an intensely devoted fanbase, as Ronnie has, it's kind of not fair to just lock up the Ask Ronnie forum, leave the "news" and "shows" parts of the website blank, and have the last word be "on hiatus". I feel like we deserve a little more than that, having supported him for so long.

I mean, last we heard the drums for the new album were all finished, and the rest was just waiting to be recorded.

Also, if he already has the drums laid out, then that would mean that he has a clue as to what he wants to duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

He didn't have to lock his forum. It'd be nice to clarify what the deal is... Perhaps the deal is a deep dark and evil secret that NONE SHALL EVER UNCOVER! Perhaps JE was actually the project of an enchanting fairy Ronnie held in captivity for years while forcing it to play wonderful and strange songs! Now it has happened upon death so Ronnie is hunting for another fairy to ensnare with evil electronic desires!!! Who knew he was so cruel!!! D^:=

See what I mean? Without clarification, things go insane.

Now who wants to go raid Ronnie's "studio" and find the fairy remains?

Not to be downbeat, but it seems to me that Ronnie's "disappearance" has been the best thing to happen to this forum in a while. Just look at how many posts we've had in the past couple days!

Who really knows? Our beloved Martin could well be pulling a classic Andy Kaufman-esque trick on us all! His next album will be a rap album and blow us all off our seats!

maybe he will do some shows in neighboring states, like michigan, which is adjacent to the province in which i am residing. where does autobahn happen, btw?

oh, I see the problem! the Regional Municipality of Durham is just east of toronto and contains both whitby and oshawa. but you are northwest of toronto and further out in a town called Durham. the two durhams are unrelated although obviously named after the same place in england
